FCE Paper 1 is made up of Use of English and Reading. These two sections are combined into one paper comprising of 7 parts. In Parts 1 to 4, you have a range of texts that will use your vocabulary and grammar skills in order to answer the gaps/questions. Whereas, in Parts 5 to 7 you will use your reading ability and related skills to answer a number of questions.
Paper 1 (Reading and Use of English) is 1 hour 15 min and you can move freely between parts and questions.
